Screen Business – Online – Flim Victoria

Screen Business – Online is an exciting initiative that will ensure that Victorian producers are making the most their online presence, and put them in tune with the audience-centred digital era and the realities of audience behaviour in an evolving digital age.
Supporting Victorian film, TV and digital media producers to deliver existing or new content to global audiences through online distribution, extending your online presence or improving your online business.
 Up to $10,000 per project is available as a grant.

South Australian $4m SME Invest Development Program Grant SMEIDP

The Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Development Program (SMEIDP) is a South Australian Government program designed to assist local manufacturers improve competitiveness.
Building on the previous Small Business Development Fund, $1 million per year for four years from 2010/11 to 2013/14 is available from the South Australian Government to encourage small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to introduce new technology, new products/services or to enter new markets.
Funding Available
A minimum government grant of $100,000 and up to a maximum of $200,000 (plus GST) is available for claims against eligible expenditure items, on a 1:2 basis, and in accordance with agreed milestones outlined in the SMEIDP Funding Agreement.

TQUAL Grants now open – Tourism Grants

TQUAL is seeking to fund projects which are innovative and refresh, upgrade or develop tourism products and experiences to support the Australian tourism industry to meet its potential and complement tourism marketing efforts.
Applications close 5.00pm (AEST) Friday 15 April 2011
The program will support the following types of tourism projects:
-Implementation projects such as innovative tourism product, service or experience refreshment or upgrade
-Initiation projects such as feasibility studies
-Projects which support the industry’s capacity to be innovative and productive, or that offer leadership to the industry (including those driven by national peak or sectoral tourism associations).

Green Car Innovation fund closed 27th Jan 2011

The Government faced urgent challenges in the wake of the floods that have devastated large parts of eastern Australia. Reductions in spending and other sacrifices had to be made to help the nation fund the recovery. As part of the response, the Government has closed applications to the Green Car Innovation Fund. All contractual commitments and grant offers made by the Government through the Fund will be honoured; and applications received as at 27 January will be processed.

QSEIF

Queensland Sustainable Energy Innovation Fund (QSEIF)

Two QSEIF funding rounds of up to $200k per project will be held in 2011. Draft applications for the first round must be received by 25th February 2011, with projects expected to be announced in August.
Project proposals are invited from Queensland organisations seeking to develop innovative technologies that reduce consumption of fossil fuels, water and greenhouse emissions.

To be eligible for QSEIF funding:
· Applicants must be Queensland-based organisations.
· The main activities of the project must be undertaken within Queensland.
· Intellectual property developed in the project must belong to a Queensland-based organisation.

Green Building Grant round 7 now open

Round 7 of the Green Building Fund is open to applications, with a closing date of Tuesday 29 March 2011. Applications must be submitted by 5pm local time in the State or Territory in which the application is lodged. The Green Building Fund aims to reduce the impact of Australia’s built environment on green house gas emissions, by reducing energy consumed in the operation of existing commercial office buildings, hotels and shopping centres.

MasterClass for Growth is a new Small Business Victoria program for growing small to medium businesses. This program will provide participants with the skills to understand, prepare and implement strategies to tackle the unique issues of business growth.

The MasterClass for Growth program in 2011 will be offered in two streams, catering to applicants based in regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne. The programs will commence in April/May 2011. Find out more

Workshop and Seminar Grants $50k for WIIN round 4

The Workshops, Industry Intelligence & Networking (WIIN) element of the Enterprise Connect initiative offers government grants of up to $50,000 for eligible organisations to deliver workshops, seminars and a range of other activities to Australian small and medium businesses.

The aim of WIIN is to provide relevant information on good business practices to help businesses reach their full potential. WIIN helps firms improve their business by providing detailed, relevant new information and knowledge about a particular aspect of good business practice. A successful WIIN activity will improve a participating firm’s awareness of and ability to implement positive changes in their business. Applications close 5.00pm on 21 February 2011

NSW Mobile technology collaboration grant CS-MC

NSW Government has opened a $6 million Collaborative Solutions Program with stage 1 Mobile Concierge program, targeted at increasing the use of mobile and wireless solutions for the tourism and retail sectors.
Grants cover up to 35% of total project costs up to $250,000, and will be offered competitively to bring together business consortiums to develop ICT-enabled solutions.An industry briefing will take place on 2nd February 2011, with registrations required by 28th January 2011.
