SA Round 2 Medical Device Commercialisation Program (MDCP)

Round 2 of the South Australian Government’s new Medical Device Commercialisation Program (MDCP) to support the early stage development and commercialisation of medical and assistive devices is now open. Funding of up to $40k is available for companies needing assistance with commercialising medical devices.
South East South Australia Innovation and Investment Fund (SESAIIF)

The South East South Australia Innovation and Investment Fund (SESAIIF) is a $12 million competitive, merit-based grants program for innovative job creation projects to strengthen south east South Australia’s regional economy and employment base. Round 1 offers minimum of $50,000 on matching funding.
Medical Device Commercialisation Program (MDCP)- South Australia

The Medical Device Commercialisation Grant is a financial assistance element of the The Medical Device Commercialisation Program, a competitive commercialisation program funded by the South Australian Government, through the Department of Trade and Economic Development to support the early stage development and commercialisation of medical and assistive devices. Upto $40,000 is available on a 1:1 funding basis.
South Australian $4m SME Invest Development Program Grant SMEIDP

The Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Development Program (SMEIDP) is a South Australian Government program designed to assist local manufacturers improve competitiveness.
Building on the previous Small Business Development Fund, $1 million per year for four years from 2010/11 to 2013/14 is available from the South Australian Government to encourage small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to introduce new technology, new products/services or to enter new markets.
Funding Available
A minimum government grant of $100,000 and up to a maximum of $200,000 (plus GST) is available for claims against eligible expenditure items, on a 1:2 basis, and in accordance with agreed milestones outlined in the SMEIDP Funding Agreement.
SA Export Grants -Gateway Business Program

The Gateway Business Program is a South Australian Government Grant program which assists small to medium-sized firms prepare for export.
The Gateway Business Program can meet eligible expenses incurred in developing international markets. Successful applicants may receive a grant of up to $20,000 over two years for eligible projects. Individual project caps range between $2,000 and $10,000. The Gateway Business Program will assist established local companies which can show they are ready to take the next step and begin exporting. To be eligible, an applicant must have been in business for at least two years and turn over more than $150,000 a year.
Round 2 of the South Australian building innovation fund is now open

The $2 million Building Innovation Fund aims to establish South Australia as the nation’s leader in demonstrating innovative ways to reduce the carbon footprint of existing commercial office buildings.
The Building Innovation Fund offers grants to owners of office buildings for initiatives that demonstrate new and leading edge approaches to retrofitting existing buildings and which significantly reduce building energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. The Fund supports the sector agreement between the South Australian Government and the Property Council of Australia (South Australian Division) made under South Australia’s climate change legislation.
