Vic Business Growth Workshops -MasterClass for Growth

Is your small business expanding and facing new challenges? Do you want to know how to fast track your business growth?
MasterClass for Growth is a new Small Business Victoria program for growing small to medium businesses. This program will provide participants with the skills to understand, prepare and implement strategies to tackle the unique issues of business growth.
The MasterClass for Growth program in 2011 will be offered in two streams, catering to applicants based in regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne. The programs will commence in April/May 2011. Find out more

The Collaborative Internet Innovation Fund (cIIF) is a $15 million Victorian Government competitive grants program aimed at accelerating the innovative use of the next generation of information and communication technology (ICT) for Victorian government, industry and community organisations. Round 2 is now open for expressions of interest.
Victorian Games Developer grants $100k for iPhone & iPad

Film Victoria has launched the new grant programme for Victorian games developers.
Games Investment will support developers to create a full game for distribution on any platform, including consoles, online or iPhone and iPad apps, or to create a prototype. Supporting local developers to develop original IP in a high-growth global market.
Up to $100,000 is available per project.
Market Validation Program (MVP) Round 2 Grants now open

13 Round 2 Technology Requirement Specification for Victorian Government – Market Validation Programs are now available on the MVP website. This programs offers full funding for feasibility study and proof of concept up to $1.5m. Round 2 now open till 6 December 2010.
Driving Investment for New Recycling Fund- $14m grant now open

$14 million in grants for new opportunities in recycling under the Driving Investment for New Recycling Fund is now open for applications from Victorian councils, waste management groups and the waste and recycling industry. This includes businesses involved or seeking to be involved in the collection, reprocessing or recycling of our waste materials.
Victorian Market Validation Program (MVP grants)-Round 1 results

Nine of the 19 feasibility studies have been awarded up to $1.5 million to carry out a proof of concept (POC) project over the next two years.
The POC projects will lead to working demonstrations of the technology solutions in the host entity’s environment.
Round 2 application details for SME’s will be announced on the 18th October.
Solar Photovoltaics Community Hubs (Solar Hubs Program)-Victoria Round 1

The Solar Hubs Program is a Victorian Government funding grant program to help deliver 8.6MW of community based solar power across Victoria by 2013. There is up to $5 million funding available which aims to deliver up to 10 ‘solar energy hubs’. The program was announced as part of the Jobs for the Future Economy – Victoria’s Action Plan for Green Jobs (Action 7) by the Premier of Victoria (see link at the bottom of the page).This program will help communities reduce their carbon footprint, support innovation, develop Victoria’s domestic PV sector, educate and inform potential adopters of PV technology as well as driving investment and job creation in the solar sector across Victoria. Round 1 of the Solar Hubs program is open for applications from 16 August 2010 until 29 September 2010. Up to 3 rounds will be offered.
