1. Retooling for Climate Change Grant now an ongoing application process

Applications for RCC (Retooling for Climate Change Grant) may now be submitted at any time and will be assessed on a regular basis by Innovation Australia. Previously this was only on a round by round basis.
An applicant may commence work on their project once AusIndustry has reviewed its application and confirmed that it is complete and eligible. However, there is no guarantee of funding support unless and until an offer of grant is made and a grant agreement signed.

2. COMET Grant superseded by Commercialisation Australia in Jan 2010
With the commencement of Commercialisation Australia, the COMET program will be closed to new applications from 1 January 2010. It will continue to be available to customers who lodge completed applications prior to closure and customers with ongoing COMET grants.

3. $16m funding through CSIRO’s Australian Growth Partnerships (AGP) program
CSIRO has allocate investment capital up to AUD$16 million in total throughout the 2008-2012 period to provide investment funding through the AGP Program to high potential, technology-receptive small and medium enterprises (SMEs) so they can access CSIRO research and development (R&D) capability and intellectual property.

4. Textile Clothing and Footwear TCF grants $50k Round 5 open

The Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Small Business Program provides grants to improve the business enterprise culture of TCF small businesses. It is competitive and merit-based with a maximum grant of $50,000 provided to each successful project. Funding of $2.5 million is available per year over a ten year period, commencing in 2006/07.
The program is a competitive, merit-based grants program. It is open to any eligible TCF small business or to a consortium that includes an eligible TCF small business.

6. Round 4 now open – National Rural and Remote Health Infrastructure Program (NRRHIP) Grant
Applications for the 4th round under the $46 million National Rural and Remote Health Infrastructure Program (NRRHIP) opened on the 14th of November and close on the 29th of January 2010.
The NRRHIP grants can be used to build new and improve existing facilities as well as for the purchase of medical equipment. Proposals that increase training facilities in practices are also eligible.
The Minister for Indigenous Health, Rural and Regional Health and Regional Services Delivery, Warren Snowdon, said the NRRHIP was a competitive grant program with the aim of providing health infrastructure and equipment to improve health care in rural and remote areas.
