Applications for EMDG Grants Open from 1 July 2012

EMDG (Export Market Development Grant) is an Australian Federal Government assistance program for aspiring and current Australian exporters. This years application are now open from 1 July 2012 till 30th Nov 2012 to claim rebates on expenses from the 2011-12 financial year (first time applicants can claim the last 2 years).
The EMDG initial payment this year will be capped at $60,000. Second tranche payments for grants greater than this amount will be determined from the final pool amount at a later date.
EMDG 2010-11 round 2 payment to be paid in full

Businesses with approved EMDG grants of up to $50,000 will receive the full value of their EMDG approved claims. Those with grants in excess of $50,000 are likely to be paid 100 cents in the dollar this year on the balance of their approved claims above $50,000.

The Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) scheme is a key Australian Government financial assistance program for aspiring and current exporters. Administered by Austrade, the scheme supports a wide range of industry sectors and products, including inbound tourism and the export of intellectual property and know-how outside Australia.
The EMDG 2011-12 grant year application forms will available for download in mid-May 2012.
