Queensland Sustainable Energy Innovation Fund (QSEIF) 2 funding round in 2012

QSEIF assists Queensland based organisations develop innovative technologies that reduce usage of fossil fuels or water, and thus reduce production of greenhouse gas emissions. Two rounds of funding will be offered in 2012.
Up to $200,000 of grant funding is available per project

$126m Emerging Renewables Program – ACRE 2011

The Australian Government is calling for applications for the new $126 million Emerging Renewables Program which will be administered by the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy (ACRE). The Program will provide support for the development of renewable energy and enabling technologies in Australia across the innovation chain.
A minimum of $40 million will assist the development of renewable energy and enabling technologies with potential to contribute to the generation of large-scale base load power, such as wave, geothermal and enabling technologies.
A further $26.6 million will be targeted at supporting the geothermal energy sector.

Federal Climate Change Grant Program $3m to raise awareness

The Australian Government has allocated $3M toward the Climate Change Grant Program (the Grant Program). The Grant Program aims to help the Australian public understand the need to act on climate change and reveal the opportunities and benefits of a clean energy future.

The Grant Program opened on 30 June 2011 and provides organisations with the opportunity to apply for grants of up to $250,000 to highlight activities that demonstrate the opportunities associated with Australia moving to a clean energy future.

Green Building Grant round 7 now open

Round 7 of the Green Building Fund is open to applications, with a closing date of Tuesday 29 March 2011. Applications must be submitted by 5pm local time in the State or Territory in which the application is lodged. The Green Building Fund aims to reduce the impact of Australia’s built environment on green house gas emissions, by reducing energy consumed in the operation of existing commercial office buildings, hotels and shopping centres.

$30m announced for renewable energy development grants in Victoria –ETIS

Victorian Government funding of up to $30 million is on offer to sustainable energy pilot demonstration projects or research and development proposals, in a bid to support renewable energy technologies and the development of cleaner energy in Victoria. Funding of up to $5 million per project will be available for projects in sustainable energy technologies in areas such as solar, wave, geothermal and bio-energy.

Grant applications are open until 30 September 2010.
