Round 1 of the Climate Ready Grants were announced today by Minister for Innovation Kim Carr. 32 new projects were awarded funding totaling $27 million to address the impacts of climate change.
The Climate Ready Grants were offered to projects including wind turbine production, native tree plantations, water saving solutions, and technology for saving power in standby mode.
The largest recipients of the Climate Ready grants were:
• Hofmann wind turbines – $5 million
• BT Imaging solar panels – $3.5 million
• Oceanlinx Limited wave power – $2.9 million
