Coles launched the $50 million Nurture Fund in April 2015 to help small businesses innovate and grow. Since then, Coles have offered more than $12 million in grants or interest-free loans to 27 different producers to help fund the development of new market-leading products, technologies and processes.
The next round of the Coles Nurture Fund is now open.
For this round, Coles has pledged to provide $5 million in grants and interest-free loans from the Nurture Fund to help farmers across Australia to combat drought in the future.
Already over the past year, the Coles Nurture Fund has provided grants to farmers to implement initiatives to make them less dependent on rainfall. In NSW, a beef farmer used a grant to build facilities to manufacture animal fodder indoors, making him less dependent on grass and water. In Victoria, a farming couple received a grant to install a more efficient irrigation system so they could reduce their water use and grow grass-fed beef all year round.
Priority projects
Priority will be given to applicants with projects in areas such as precision farming and agricultural water management that will help farmers meet the challenge of climate variability. However, we welcome applications from any small to medium sized businesses seeking help to fund the development of new market-leading products, technologies and processes
Deadline: 5:00pm AEDT on Friday 14 September 2018
It is preferred that the Application Form and all attachments are submitted as one document. The subject line of an Applicant’s email should be the same as the Registered Company Name in section A1 of this Application Form.
