New Grants

The Export Market Development Grant (EMDG) for FY22 is now open for applications.

EMDG is a government grant that allows Australian exporters to claim rebates on business expenses, following eligibility. Small to medium enterprise (SME) exporters can apply for 3 different grants over 8 years (not necessarily consecutively) for eligible promotional activities. Grants are available in 3 stages or tiers. Each tier provides a different level of support to SMEs as they grow their export markets. The 3 tiers are designed to provide different levels of support to applicants as they grow their export markets at the different stages of your export journey.

Deadline for FY22 EMDG grant.

This grant will close on the 30th of November 2021.

Late applications will not be accepted.

If you miss the cut off, you will have to wait till the following year.

Grant Tiers:

The new EMDG program has 3 tiers of businesses:  New Exporter, Expanding and Strategic Shift.

Applicants can choose which tier of funding they wish to apply for. You do not need to move through the tiers in successive order. For example, an applicant may apply for 8 years in Tier 2, or 3 years in Tier 2 and 6 years in Tier 3.
