$14 million in grants for new opportunities in recycling under the Driving Investment for New Recycling Fund is now open for applications from Victorian councils, waste management groups and the waste and recycling industry. This includes businesses involved or seeking to be involved in the collection, reprocessing or recycling of our waste materials.
The applicants will be encouraged to take a collaborative approach to the challenge of increasing the recovery of waste, and ensure Victoria recovers and recycles valuable materials rather than bury them in landfill.
Sustainability Victoria encourages innovative projects that deliver better environmental outcomes. Funding is available for:
- new technologies and systems for collection, sorting and processing recyclable and treatable organic waste
- the development of new processes and products
- investment in new infrastructure or upgrading existing facilities.
