The Department of Health and Ageing is calling for applications for funding under the Innovative Clinical Teaching and Training Grants (ICCTG).
$90 million is available over four (4) years (2009-10 to 2012-13) for infrastructure projects that support innovative clinical teaching and training initiatives. Applications are sought from public and private organisations which can demonstrate increased capacity for clinical teaching and training as a result of the use of innovative practices enabled by renovations¸ construction or purchase of facilities in new or existing settings.
These grants will provide between $100¸000 and $5 million (GST exclusive) per project for initiatives:
- that will support innovative approaches to dealing with the increase in the numbers of people undertaking health professional training and education¸
- that will improve distribution and capacity for teaching and clinical training outside of tertiary hospitals¸ and
- in settings that may not normally be considered for Commonwealth funding.
Organisations interested in applying for ICCTG Funding must address the assessment criteria in the format outlined in the Application Guidelines.
