The South Australian Government has launched a new Medical Device Commercialisation Program (MDCP) to support the early stage development and commercialisation of medical and assistive devices.
The MDCP will be delivered through two delivery streams depending on the level of assistance required.
Stream 1 is for applicants who wish to apply for a MDCP grant with the assistance and support of the Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP) co-ordinated by Flinders University.
Stream 2 Direct is for applicants that wish to apply directly for a Medical Device Commercialisation Program grant without MDPP assistance.
Companies will have the choice of applying for:
- a Medical Device Research Grant (MDRG) of up to $15,000 on a 3:1 funding basis, or
- a Medical Device Commercialisation Grant (MDCG) of up to $40,000 on a 1:1 funding basis.
The MDCP is an initiative of the Department of Trade and Economic Development and will be co-ordinated with the assistance of Flinders University and its commercialisation arm, Flinders Partners.
