New Grants

The deadline for submission of applications for registration for the R&D Tax Concession for the 2007-08 income year for June balancing companies is Thursday, 30 April 2009.

Applications can be lodged through any AusIndustry office or online. Paper applications must be received by 5pm Thursday, 30 April 2009 and electronic applications can be lodged at any time on this day.

The AusIndustry Hotline will be opened for extended hours from 8am to 8pm on the following dates, to assist customers in completing their 2007/08 applications.

  • Tuesday 28 April 2009
  • Wednesday 29 April 2009
  • Thursday 30 April 2009

R&D Tax Concession is a broad-based, market driven tax concession which allows companies to deduct up to 125% of qualifying expenditure incurred on R&D activities when lodging their corporate tax return. A 175% Incremental (Premium) Tax Concession and R&D Tax Offset are also available in certain circumstances.
