The Jobs Fund is an Australian Government Initiative designed to maximise job and training opportunities in local communities. The Jobs Fund forms part of the Australian Government’s Jobs and Training Compact and has been established to support families and communities most affected by the Global Economic Recession.
The call for proposals under the Local Jobs and Get Communities Working streams are now open.
Separate guidelines have been released for each stream (see below). Organisations should read the Local Jobs Guidelines or Get Communities Working Guidelines to obtain further information on eligibility and the criteria for funding prior to developing and submitting proposals.
The closing time and date for proposals is 11.00pm AEDT Friday 11 December 2009.
Local Jobs stream
Under the Local Jobs stream, $52 million is available for projects which focus on green jobs, develop green skills and energy efficient infrastructure.
