Introduction & Aims
The Small Technologies Industry Uptake Program (STIUP) has been developed by the Victorian Government to give Victorian businesses the opportunity to increase their competitiveness by using small technologies in their products, processes and services.
Nature of Assistance
STIUP will allow Victoria’s innovative small technology companies to demonstrate and commercialise their goods and/or services. The Program will provide support through a voucher system, whereby vouchers can be exchanged for access to facilities, goods, services, advice or expertise to explore, adopt and integrate small technologies.
Types of vouchers available:
Type of voucher | Definition | Maximum value |
---|---|---|
Small Technologies Feasibility Voucher | Small fee-based services such as demonstration of coatings, preliminary testing and consulting services to evaluate feasibility of small technologies. | $10,000 |
Small Technologies Technical Voucher | Substantial micro or nanotechnology-based development activity such as assistance for small scale product prototyping, laboratory verification, field testing and fabrication of small technology demonstrators. | $50,000 |
Small Technologies Trial Voucher | Prototype development, pilot scale trials or improvements to existing products or processes through the adoption of or integration of small technologies. | $250,000 |
Small Technologies Feasibility and Technical Vouchers
The Victorian Government is partnering with the Small Technologies Cluster (STC) to deliver the Small Technologies Industry Uptake Program. STC will administer the Feasibility and Technical voucher applications, which will remain open for the duration of the program (through to June 2013).
