The Victoria-Israel Science and Technology R&D Fund (VISTECH) was established in 2005 to promote, facilitate and support jointly approved science and technology research and development (R&D) projects.
The sixth round of funding opens 7th July 2009 and runs until 17th September 2009.
With a sophisticated research base to draw on in each state, Australian companies based in the state of Victoria and Israeli companies are well suited to form productive partnerships in areas such as Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Water, Environment, Synchrotron and Information Communications & Technology (ICT).
VISTECH is involved in four broad complementary activities:
Who should apply?
VISTECH funding will be of interest to Victorian and Israeli technology companies, and their research or development partners, which are active in the following sectors –
Biotechnology and broader life science companies including human, animal, agricultural and industrial biotechnology
Medical Device companies
Environmental and Water technology companies
Nanotechnology and Microtechnology companies
Information and Computer Technology (ICT) companies
Advanced Manufacturing companies
Applicants must be companies located in Victoria and Israel with the R&D project work located in these states. Company applicants may sub-contract elements of the R&D project to academic and research institutions.
Companies large and small, including start-ups, are welcome to apply.
